This presentation investigates why many of the bilingual/ESL students at our Service-Learning sites struggle with their social identity. We noticed this issue was pervasive throughout all of our Service-Learning sites. Our presentation addresses the possible causes of the challenges that these students face, as well as the implications for our work as community educators.
