Creators: The Students of Professor Fuchs Intermediate II German
Course: Intermediate II German (Fuchs)
Abstract: Through the service-learning project, the students were given the opportunity to engage virtually with German-speaking elders through regular interviews. The main focus of the interview was on the elders’ unique experiences and perspectives and meant to provide the students with a broader worldview on some course themes (e.g. history, immigration). In addition, the exchanges provided the elders with an opportunity to engage in a multicultural dialogue during a time of COVID-19 lockdown in Germany.
