Our artifact is a video demo of an interactive data visualization we created for our DS4200 class in partnership with Chester Square Neighbors. They are an organization dedicated to promoting the health, well-being, and security of the Chester Square neighborhood. Our goal was to help them gain insights about the businesses on Mass Ave. In our class, we learned to create data visualizations in JavaScript, and so we made an interactive data visualization for our partner. The goal of our project was to help give insight into these 4 questions: “Where can the neighborhood differentiate future business types in order to get more people to visit the neighborhood?” “What are the largest employers (employee count)?” “What types of businesses are in the neighborhood?” “Where are most businesses located on Mass Ave?”
