Course: FSEM1000 Connections & Decisions

Our students spent the semester researching and compiling information and connections for the Community Organizing Alliance. The COA currently serves the Greater Maine area in assuring BIPOC and low-income residents are engaged and heard within their communities, and our class’ work will help set up the foundation to do the same in Boston. This small group surveyed the Roxbury, Jamaica Plain, Dorchester, and South End areas to see what residents found to be the most pressing issues. They went on community walks, spoke to residents, and attended community meetings to identify key neighborhood partners for the COA. This is a compilation of their research and key findings within their respective neighborhoods.
