The service learning the with Little Brothers Friends of the Elderly through their Digital Dividends and City Sites initiatives, is shown in this artifact and represents CS4120- Natural Language Processing students’ experience throughout the semester. They developed connections with the elderly by assisting them with technology and participating in social activities like storytelling and games, which emphasized the value of digital literacy, social inclusion, and a lot of cross-cultural interactions. Each student group created an artifact to be put together in this collage to illustrate the importance of cultivating an environment where all people feel supported and appreciated. This event demonstrated the advantage of community building, and how even the smallest deeds of kindness can create a lasting impact and make people feel less isolated and more involved.
