In this course, students learned about the importane of systems thinking and had the opportunity to practice creating their own systems maps to understand the complexities of different issues in society. Students worked in groups over the course of the semester to create these maps, engaging in many discussions and research. At the end of this course, each group presented their work; these maps aided the class in their grant-making process and decision in the final weeks of the course. This map was created by one of the groups, and was entitled “Economic and Social Integration for Immigrants.”
