In partnership with a project team from NE’s Marketing & Society class, the New England Musicians Resource Fund (NEMRF) aims to enhance its donor base by implementing a strategic pro-social marketing campaign. NEMRF provides financial, legal, and health support to professional freelance musicians in New England, a community heavily impacted by crises such as COVID-19. The purpose of this project is to establish a sustainable donor base to ensure musicians can continue their work and thrive in both stable and challenging times. By focusing on leveraging emotional storytelling, digital platforms, and segmented donor outreach, NEMRF intends to increase engagement, donations, and awareness across different demographic groups. The project will also include implementing a Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT) to test the effectiveness of various messaging strategies. NEMRF, founded in 2020, is grateful to collaborate with a team from Northeastern to help with this strategic initiative as we look ahead to our 5-year anniversary in 2025.
