This artifact is a set of collages of the final presentations that each group made in this capstone classes. This artifact was selected because it demonstrates the amount of collaboration the class entailed and the diverse types of environmental initiatives being worked on throughout the semester. There were 5 group projects in this class. Each group focused on a different aspect of community and environmental development. The group working with Northeast Organic Farming Association (NOFA) worked to create surveys for three food programs assessing food security. The one working with Climable developed lesson plans to teach school children about climate change. The Northeastern Arboretum had two groups focusing on either the design of a mushroom garden or a food forest for the Northeastern campus. The last group created recipes for the fruits that the Boston Food Forest Coalition (BFFC) grow in their food forests.
