The goal of this exercise is to continue developing a strengths-based perspective on the neighborhoods surrounding the classes service learning tutoring sites. To develop this understanding of what communities, families, and students bring to our classrooms and schools, students observed the communities during their commutes, researched the surrounding neighborhoods, and asked questions of people connected to the community.
