A partner not only a national historic landmark but also a community deeply devoted to racial equity and social justice, with an emphasis on food justice. They provide food for the Boston community and space for teaching and engagement about food equity. Each week, they hold a community meal and part of the produce goes to that meal and community members/neighbors who come by to harvest. Recently, they have finished the entire exterior restoration of their exterior, part of a much more extensive restoration and renovation project that will cost over $5.6 million dollars in the end. The project was for the team to create a plan to merge resources with a focus on transitioning into a change management plan. This study will help us answer questions like, “accounting for risks, is this a financially viable option?” and “do we want to do an operating model or a holding model as a result of the merger?” This includes communicating with stakeholders (What stays, what goes, what is different? What is the best of both?), gauging reactions from others, and then looking toward a change management plan.
