Course: ENGW1114 First-Year Writing with Service-Learning

The students in first year writing focused on how to utilize writing to speak about and challenge complex problems. In this assignment, students were asked to look at how each of the community partners they’ve been working with this semester fit into a larger social push for equality, health, community, stability, education, and any number of other areas. Their goal was to identify a societal issue being addressed by each partner and help share that issue to a larger audience.
