This artifact is a video containing an explanation of our group’s interactive data visualizations of health and safety in the Mass Ave Community for the Mass Ave Coalition. We highlighted some crime incident trends and concerns that can be seen in the Mass Ave neighborhood from 2018-2022. Our class is a data visualization class focusing on how we can use good design principles to effectively convey valuable information to varying audiences. This video explanation and demonstration of our visualizations are an effective medium for conveying insights to our service learning partner and for helping them further support their community.
